As this volatility continued, Robinhood took the rare step of preventing users from purchasing these stocks. Over the past month (and well before, in some cases), users of the WallStreetBets subdirectory have piled on stocks commonly sold by hedge funds, such as GameStop, BlackBerry, and AMC. Now, affected Robinhood users are asking Apple to remove Robinhood from the App Store - and accuse the company of censoring negative Robinhood reviews on the App Store. As we reported earlier this morning, Robinhood has made the controversial decision to ban trading on GME, KOSS, and other Reddit-backed stocks. The ongoing trade freeze related to Robinhood and stocks like GameStop and AMC continues to spread to Apple's App Store today.
